The Intergenerational Project

Updated: Mar 20

The Intergenerational Project led by Francine Marchelle

The Intergenerational Project collaborated with a group of Franklinton seniors and students from Avondale elementary, led by Francine Marchelle. This project facilitated storytelling sessions where seniors shared their experiences and memories of Franklinton with students from Avondale Elementary. We are excited to celebrate our participants and stories from Franklinton!

The students presented their research at the completion of the project, at Columbus Vet's Memorial.

Bringing the community of parents, youth, teachers and seniors together, to celebrate the students work. Special thanks to Franklinton Board of Trade, LifeCare Alliance, United Way, Ohio Arts Council, Aetna, National Church Residences and Avondale Elementary.

"The World Might Shine Again"

The students also collaborated with a local songwriter to write a song inspired by their conversations with the group of seniors.
