This songwriting workshop collaborated over the course of 10 weeks with the students of Heartland High School, a recovery school that promotes sobriety and gives students access to resources and a support system. Through dialogue created in a safe space, they worked with Dom Deshawn and the WAV workshops team to write and record an original song.
 
We are careful not to control these conversations and give our groups the freedom of expression to use their voice to speak from their perspective. We are a vessel for them to share their message and that perspective from their collective life experiences.
