WAV believes in the power of every voice. We are proud to announce the Bridges of Love program that uplifts a group of important, underheard voices in our community.

WAV facilitated workshops that paired local musicians and producers with incarcerated mothers and their children. Together, the families wrote and produced a collection of songs about their shared experiences.

The finished music was performed by a group of amazing local musicians, recorded live by WOSU early 2021 and hosted by Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) at The Palace and Southern Theatres.

The full length documentary will be premiering in person May 10th at Land Grant's spacious outdoor venue and made available for the entire community to stream online May 11th.

This is first single from our Bridges of Love album which features six songs in total, all written by mothers at the Ohio Reformatory for Women and their families at home.

We chose "So Much More" as the first release because it speaks perfectly to the impact of this project and shows who these women truly are at their core.

Thankful for our Guest Speakers

We have a group of amazing guest speakers who shared their thoughts and experiences for our Bridges of Love Documentary.

Former Tapestry Director Annette Dominguez, Harmony Projects David Brown, The Warden of ORW Teri Baldauf, her assistant Clara Golding-Kent and ORW Counselor Jo McClain.
